Types of Implants

Dental implants are the best solution in cases of missing one or more teeth, as well as in cases of complete toothlessness. Our Clinic offers implants with prices starting from 700.00 KM. All implants that are installed in our clinic are registered by the FBiH Drug Agency. After the implantation, the patient receives an international implant passport.

We offer implants from world-renowned brands: Bredent, Neodent, Strauman…

  • Bredent blue sky implants are an implant system from the global manufacturer Bredent medical Germany. Its main features are high stability after installation, the thread structure offers optimal conditions for bone height stabilization after implantation, it prevents inflammation of the soft tissues around the implant, and there's a 20-year warranty on the installed implants.
  • Neodent is a global brand with twenty years of experience in implant manufacturing. Each implant is made according to the highest international standards that ensure longevity and reliability.
  • Strauman implants have been leading the global implant production market for sixty years. They represent the most efficient solution for missing teeth. Precisely designed, they serve as a replacement for the natural tooth root, which, combined with a prosthetic replacement, provides the feeling of a natural tooth. What sets Strauman implants apart from others is a lifetime warranty on the installed implant.

Phases of Implantation

The implantation process is a complex procedure carried out in dentistry, involving the following steps:

EXAMINATION AND PLANNING

The oral surgeon will examine your oral cavity and take a 3D CBCT X-ray to determine where the implant should be placed and how many implants are needed. They will also discuss with you about your health conditions to ensure that you are a suitable candidate for implant placement. Implants are only installed in patients who have sufficient jawbone and don't have chronic illnesses that could pose an obstacle.

PREPARATION

Before the implantation, the patient signs a consent and agreement for the implant placement. In cases where a tooth needs to be extracted, it is preferable to do so before the implant placement, and in some instances, implants can be placed immediately after tooth extraction. Before the procedure starts, the patient will receive local anesthesia to ensure comfort during the process. A small incision will then be made in the gums to reveal the bone underneath.

IMPLANT PLACEMENT

Once the bone is exposed, the implant is inserted, after which the gums are stitched up to allow for healing. The actual implant placement is done in one visit.
Recovery from the procedure varies for each patient.

PLACEMENT OF TEMPORARY PROSTHETIC WORK

After implantation, temporary prosthetic work is made to protect the implants and provide the patient with chewing function and normal speech.

HEALING PHASE

After the implant has been placed, you will have to wait several months (approx. 4 months) for the implant to integrate with the bone, known as the healing phase. During this period, the implant will bond with the bone and form a strong connection.

INSTALLATION OF THE FINAL PROSTHETIC WORK

After the implant integrates with the bone, the final prosthetic work is crafted. Depending on the patient's wishes and the condition of their oral cavity, crowns, bridges, or acrylic hybrids can be made. The prosthetic work will look and function like natural teeth.
The entire process of implant placement with prosthetic crafting can take several months, depending on the individual case.
After completing the implant-prosthetic rehabilitation, it's vital for the patient to maintain proper oral hygiene and follow other instructions from the responsible therapist.

ALL ON 4

It is a unique and revolutionary method that allows patients to address the issue of total edentulism. This is a quick and effective way to replace all teeth in one procedure, restoring the smile and functionality of the teeth.

With this method, four implants are inserted into the patient, which are used to attach a fixed prosthetic work, meaning all the teeth in the jaw are supported by these four implants. This means the patient doesn't need an individual implant for each tooth, which reduces the cost and time of the procedure.

The procedure begins with an examination and checking of the patient's condition. If the patient is suitable for All on 4, a 3D CBCT scan is done to determine the exact location for the implants. After detailed planning, the patient receives four implants that will integrate with the bone. While the implants are integrating, a temporary prosthetic work is made to allow the patient to function normally.
Once the implant has fused with the bone, impressions are taken and the definitive prosthetic work is created.

Types of prosthetic works:
  • Acrylic Hybrid: This type of prosthetic work on implants is made of acrylic. The hybrid is fixed to the implants, and the patient cannot remove the prosthetic work without professional supervision. A significant advantage of this work is that patients quickly get used to the hybrid as the acrylic part is quite reduced.
  • Metal-Ceramic Hybrid: This type of prosthetic work is fixed in the patient's mouth. The advantage of this type is that the metal base provides considerable strength, while the ceramic covering the metal part fully meets aesthetics and functionality.
  • Zirconia Hybrid: This type of prosthetic work offers the possibility of achieving the most natural tooth appearance because of its zirconia base.

All on 4 has many advantages. Not only is it less invasive and cheaper than other methods, but it also allows for the patient's rapid recovery.
If you have lost teeth and are looking for an effective and fast solution, All on 4 might be the right choice for you.

ALL ON 6

They are a new innovative method for patients who want to restore their smile and tooth functionality. This method is similar to the All on 4 method, but in this case, six implants are inserted. This means that this type of work will be more stable and reliable for patients who already have a bone deficit in the jaw.

The All on 6 procedure starts with an examination and assessment of the patient's condition. If it is determined that the patient is suitable for this procedure, a 3D scan of the jaw is performed to determine the exact location for the implants. Afterward, six implants are placed in the patient's jaw that will integrate with the bone. During the integration process (approximately four months), the patient is given a temporary work to allow normal chewing and speaking.

After the implant is integrated, impressions are taken to start making the final prosthetic work.

All on 6 works have numerous advantages. Apart from being more stable and reliable than All on 4, they also offer better load distribution on the implants, meaning the implants won't be overloaded. This method allows patients to have a natural smile and tooth functionality, which can boost your confidence and quality of life.

The All on 6 implant procedure is less invasive and more expensive than other methods, but in the long run, it is more cost-effective for patients who want a permanent solution for their teeth. Patients can return to their daily activities just a few days after the procedure, and in the long run, enjoy a stable and functional smile.

If you have lost teeth and are looking for an effective and permanent solution, the All on 6 method is the right choice for you. Schedule your free appointment and consult with our professional staff.
