Implantology

Dental implants are the ideal solution for patients with one or more missing teeth, as well as those with complete tooth loss. Our Clinic offers implants starting at just 800.00 KM, providing high-quality dental services at affordable prices. All implants used in our Clinic are registered by the Agency for Medicinal Products of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After implantation, patients receive an international implant passport.

We offer implants from world-renowned brands such as Bredent, Neodent, and Straumann.

The implantation process is a complex procedure carried out in dentistry, involving the following steps:

  1. Examination and Planning

Our oral surgeon will examine your oral cavity and take a 3D CBCT x-ray to determine the ideal implant placement and the number of implants needed. We will also discuss your health condition to ensure you are a suitable candidate for implants, as they are recommended only for patients with sufficient jawbone and no chronic conditions that could pose a barrier. In cases of insufficient jawbone, bone augmentation may be necessary to create the proper conditions for implantation. After the artificial bone is placed, a waiting period of several months is needed for complete bone integration.

  1. Preparation

Before implantation, the patient signs a consent form. If tooth extraction is required, it is recommended to do it before the implantation; in some cases, implants can be placed immediately after tooth extraction. Local anesthesia is administered to ensure comfort during the procedure, followed by a small incision in the gums to expose the jawbone.

  1. Implant Placement

After exposing the jawbone, the oral surgeon will drill a hole to insert the implant, typically made of titanium and shaped like a screw. After implantation, the gums are sutured for proper healing. The implantation itself is completed in a single visit.

The recovery period varies for each patient.

  1. Provisional Prosthetic Work

After implantation, temporary prosthetic work is made to protect the implants and provide the patient with chewing function and normal speech.

  1. Healing Phase

After implant placement, you will have to wait for several months to allow the implant to integrate with the jawbone in the healing phase. During this time, the implant will fuse with the bone to form a strong connection.

  1. Placement of Definitive Prosthetic Work

Once the implant integrates with the bone, the definitive prosthetic work is created. Depending on the patient's needs and oral condition, crowns, bridges, or acrylic hybrids can be used. The prosthetic work will look and function like natural teeth.

The entire process of implant placement can take several months, depending on individual cases. It's essential to follow the doctor's instructions for implant care during the healing phase to ensure successful integration with the bone.

After completing the implant-prosthetic rehabilitation, proper oral hygiene maintenance and adherence to the therapist's instructions are essential.
