RVG dental imaging involves a very small dose of radiation precisely because of the size of the area being imaged. This radiation is significantly reduced compared to traditional X-ray imaging, and the images produced are important because they give the dentist an insight into the condition of the tooth - from the inside to the surrounding structure, i.e. nerves and bones. The imaging is done using specific software designed to produce high-resolution images, and it takes place on a dental chair, which means maximum comfort for the patient.
