Tooth whitening is the process of removing various stains and discolorations from the tooth surface, and thus the color of the teeth becomes whiter. Tooth whitening is a very popular procedure.
Tooth whitening is the only procedure in aesthetic dentistry that can give you extraordinary results in just one visit to the Bandić clinic and dental center.
Having a magical smile, beautiful and recognizable, is not easy. It requires a disciplined approach when it comes to oral hygiene, the food consumed, and regular visits to the dentist. Some people, however, were not naturally given healthy teeth of nice shape and color. However, this is no reason for sadness and despair. Tooth whitening is a very accessible process today, which can make discolored teeth appear the same color and look as if you are an actor/actress from the movie screen.
Laser Tooth Whitening
Laser tooth whitening is a dental procedure that gives immediate results after treatment. After laser tooth whitening, your excitement and satisfaction with the new smile are going to be surprisingly large!
This laser tooth whitening technique involves applying a whitening gel to the teeth using high concentration bleachers under strictly controlled conditions, with soft tissue protection and gel activation with a laser beam.
By acting with a laser beam of light, there is an accelerated reaction of hydrogen peroxide in the whitening gel, whereby the released oxygen penetrates the surface layer of the tooth and performs the whitening process. Changes occur much faster, and the end result is up to five or six shades brighter color.
The result of whitening can last, on average, up to three years. However, this will differ from person to person. It is less likely that a brighter shade of teeth will stay that long if you smoke a lot, consume products that can stain your teeth (red wine, curry spice, coffee). Ask our DOC Bandić dental team for an opinion before you decide to whiten.
As side effects during tooth whitening, transient tooth sensitivity to cold should be mentioned, which occurs in about 50% of patients. In these cases, the patient is advised to reduce the frequency of wearing the application tray (instead of every night, use every other night), reduce the concentration of the whitening gel, and treat the teeth with preparations that reduce tooth sensitivity. This phenomenon is always transient.
