Dental implants

Tooth loss often means a loss of confidence, but professionals in our clinics have a solution. Dental implants will change your life forever.

Dental implants have been used to replace teeth for about fifty years. Advances in technology have made the use of dental implants increasingly common in the last decade. Tooth loss often means a loss of confidence, and the desire for a beautiful and healthy smile becomes increasingly larger over time. Implants can restore your full quality of life and a confident smile.

What are dental implants?

Dental implants are actually a replacement for missing teeth. The implant is a screw made of biocompatible material - titanium, which completely heals in our gums, and does not cause allergic reactions. When replacing teeth with dental implants, it is not necessary to grind the remaining teeth. The dental implant serves as an independent support that will later carry a single dental crown or bridge when it grows into the gum.

The procedure of installing a dental implant is simple and quick. It is a simple surgical procedure in which the screw, the implant is inserted into the bone, onto which the dental crown is later placed. The procedure does not require general anesthesia, it is performed under local anesthesia and lasts about twenty minutes. The healing of the dental implant in the bone lasts from three to six months.

The results of such a process are:

  • a beautiful smile
  • restoration of chewing function
  • preservation of remaining teeth

In some cases, dental implants are not recommended for patients. This includes patients with diseases such as cancer or AIDS, cardiovascular diseases, and respiratory system diseases. Dental implants can also be installed in patients with diabetes, moderate osteoporosis, and patients treated with corticosteroids.

In modern implantology, a success rate of as much as 95% is recorded, of course with the correct diagnosis and patient cooperation. Even if there is a small percentage of failure, the procedure can be repeated after some time. The most common reasons for implant failure are: infection, bone decay at the time of implantation, poor oral hygiene, smoking, taking certain medications. The advantage of dental implants is also that with a good diagnosis of dental bone density, there is no age limit for implantation. Dental implants, with proper care and regular dental check-ups, have almost a lifetime lifespan.
